Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working on TV and in films is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her showbiz career at a young age. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars.
