Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was a kid, she went to at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was just six when she realized she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. At the age of ten she was involved and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It was the year's top grossing film, breaking records at the opening as well as the first weekend. Film critics praised the film as well as the performances of the three leading actors of the young generation. The widely distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma won the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for the Film. Film.
